Ball Control
We teach players all the ways to receive the ball through the use of our multiple rebounding surfaces in our Smart Boxes and through our Wall Mastery Program. We teach players how to receive balls out of the air and how to shape their bodies when controlling the ball to quickly go in their desired direction. Great ball control is a key to your kid’s success on the field.
Dynamic Dribbling
We specialize in turning players into Dynamic Dribblers. We break down each move into small parts to ensure the players can master the skill. We give players enough repetitions with no pressure and incrementally building to 1v1 games to give them the confidence to try these moves with their teams. The small training spaces also help the players develop the ability to keep the ball in tight areas of the field.
Fantastic Finishing
Scoring goals requires the mastery of various shooting techniques and the mindset to confidently use them during the pressures of a game. Our unique box design allows players to quickly obtain the repetitions required to be able to take the shot when the time comes. We teach that accuracy is the most critical aspect of finishing, but also teach the players how to strike the ball with all the power needed.
Soccer IQ
We use cutting-edge technology to train Soccer IQ, which is the game sense that players need to make the best decisions with the ball. Rezzil is the world’s leading virtual reality soccer training system, giving players an objective soccer IQ report. Our proprietary Smart Boxes allows us to train soccer IQ in ways that are not possible in any conventional training environment.
Head Coach and Program Creator: Donald Dione
Don has been a youth coach for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience to A Step Ahead Soccer. He played through college and has been a coach at the youth, middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. Don’s philosophy has always been to teach the players the individual tools they require to succeed at the highest level. He also was sure to create an environment in which the players feel safe trying new skills in games until they mastered them. This philosophy has proved to be successful in developing players. A Step Ahead Soccer is the perfect venue for Don to bring his coaching to many more players.

The Rezzil Index is a unique contextual cognitive performance platform that measures player capabilities and helps develop the traits seen in the world’s best players. The Rezzil Index score is calculated using a series of 5 drills that quantify the characteristics seen in elite players such as: decision speed under increasing pressure, working memory, spatial awareness, concentration, planning, foot bias and the effects of pressure on the bias, and technical adaptability under pressure. The Rezzil Index uses a proprietary algorithm to score a player based on these characteristics and converts them into 5 understandable key metrics: Rezzil Index, Accuracy, Composure, Reaction, and Adaptability.
I’ve been involved in football for many years but I honestly believe Rezzil is one of the most promising technologies to enter the sport. In sport, we are always looking for an edge over the competition and Rezzil provides just that. There are so many applications, from training and rehabilitation, it was an easy decision for me to get involved.

Academy Schedule

Wednesday Goal Keeping 6:50 PM
Each weekly session is 90 minutes (Goal Keeping is 75 minutes) and costs $110 per month (Goal Keeping is $85 per month).
How it works
At A Step Ahead Soccer, we know that you want to give your child the best chance to succeed in soccer. In order to for your child to succeed, they need to be taught the fundamentals. The problem is that traditional training does not give youth players enough repetitions of these fundamentals, so as a parent, you will likely keep finding yourself frustrated by the lackluster results of traditional training.
